What is NDIS Community Nursing Care (Support Item 0114)?
Community Nursing Care is a specialised NDIS support for participants who have complex individual support needs that are best met by a clinically trained professional, such as a Registered Nurse.
This isn’t about general daily assistance; it’s about providing specific, high-level health and clinical care that helps you manage medical conditions, prevent complications, and enhance your overall quality of life. All care is delivered in collaboration with you, your family, and your wider healthcare team (including your GP and specialists) to ensure a seamless and holistic approach.
This service is for participants who may require assistance with:
- Complex Wound Management and Pressure Care
- Medication Administration (including injections)
- Continence Management (including catheter care)
- Diabetes Management (including insulin administration)
- Enteral (PEG) Feeding and Management
